Gelert Tents

As legend has it that the Prince of North Wales in medieval times had a grey hound named Gelert. While on a hunting trip the dog was not to be found. Which was quite unusual and the dog was always by the Princes side. Once the prince returned from the hunting trip there lays Gelert, all bloody and stained. He jumped up on his master happy to see him.

The prince discovered his young son had disappeared and the prince killed his beloved dog, thinking he killed his son. As Gelert yelled his last yelp the prince heard his son cries. The prince found out that wolf had been killed by Gelert, protecting his son. As told the prince never smiled again.

The English company that makes tents named their company after old Gelert and now is known as Gelert Tent Company, named in his honor.  These tents exemplify the traits of reliability and trustworthiness as much as the greyhound Gelert himself.
